A simple phone call turned Bob Chikoski's world completely upside down.
One day, the father of nine and grandfather of 14 picked up a bizarre phone call from a woman named Geri Bentley. After a strange, yet healing conversation, Bob learned that he had a long-lost sister he never knew about.
When Bob was only 18 months old, his father left after a separation from his mother. He learned that his father started a new family later on. Eighty years later, he found himself speaking to a daughter from his father's other family over the phone for the first time ever.
In the video below, posted on April 26, 2017, Bob explains, "I often thought or wondered if I had any other brothers and sisters. Then all of a sudden, one day, here I got one!"
Bob and Geri look at old family photos together and have formed a sweet bond. It's almost as if they grew up together.
"I was just elated to know that we had finally pieced this mystery together," Geri says.
The long-lost siblings quickly realized that they have a lot in common, including their sense of style.
Geri jokes, "I'm looking at that sweater and I'm thinking, 'Oh my gosh, I bought one exactly like that.'"
In the end, Bob agrees with Geri when she says, "Family is always first."
