When a Columbus waitress worked her last day on the job, she never thought she would be sent off in an amazing way by a group of seven Fort Benning soldiers!
Amy Davis was serving the soldiers when they suddenly asked her if they could sing. Caught off guard, she said they could.
A few started humming, but then they broke out into song all at once, belting out “Under the Boardwalk,” made famous by The Drifters in 1964.
The waitress, along with the other patrons of the restaurant, were stunned by the quality of their voices. Many expected them to sing along with the song playing on the speakers. Instead, their a capella version of the song wowed everyone who heard it.
Everyone was clapping and filming the soldiers' performance. They could tell that the men have sung together before, whether it was in a chorus or just for fun.
As for Amy, she didn't know how to react at first. Then, she just started dancing while still clearing their plates!
She told the Ledger-Enquirer, "You see military all over, but I had never seen something like that."
What a great send off Amy got on her last day at work. These guys have the voices of angels!
Please SHARE if you were just as stunned as Amy and her customers upon hearing the beautiful voices of these brave gentlemen!
