The video below was shot in Queensland, Australia, where a man found a sea turtle stuck in some mangroves.
Mangrove trees are plants whose roots grow primarily in water. Somehow, the massive sea turtle found himself stuck in the maze-like roots and mud that tend to build up around these trees.
But to make matters worse, when the man went for a closer look, he realized that one of the poor turtle's flippers was damaged.
He also discovered that a float line had tangled around the turtle's flipper.
Instinctively, the man began to make various phone calls, calling emergency and professional services to come and help the poor turtle.
Unfortunately, no one picked up.
He knew at that moment that he'd need to help out if he wanted the turtle to survive.
In the video, you will see how this hero used ingenuity and physical strength to try to free the turtle from the mangroves.
First, he cut the rope from the turtle's flipper. Then, in stunning fashion, the man fashioned a sled from surrounding objects, lifted the turtle onto it, and then tied the sled to his torso.
