For fans of horror, Pennywise the clown is considered one of the more famous characters. Stephen King's terrifying clown haunts people that have read the book or watched the TV movie It. With a remake on the horizon, it's no surprise the character has become popular again.
So it's easy to understand why Lukas Lewis, 11, is such a fan.
For his 11th birthday party, held at a skating rink, Lukas was surprised by Pennywise himself.
Or, at least, a man dressed up as the creepy clown.
Lukas cheered and clapped when he saw Pennywise, but he had no clue who was really under the mask!
"I have the gloves. I have the balloons. I have the mask," says John Lewis, Lukas' dad, in the video below.
John had been stationed off the coast of Saudi Arabia with the Navy, and hadn't seen his son in almost 18 months.
So when he arrived back home early, he wanted to pull off a surprise reunion that the boy would never forget.
First, he had to plant the seed of surprise: He told his son he wouldn't be able to make his birthday party.
So when Pennywise came in and handed Lukas some birthday balloons, the boy was completely shocked it was actually his dad!
