What to Know
Hailey Bieber’s big sister, Alaia Baldwin Aronow, has been formally charged in connection with a 2024 altercation at a Georgia nightclub, during which she allegedly threw a used tampon at a bartender and physically attacked security staff.
Nearly two years after the incident, the 33-year-old mother has been charged with simple battery, simple assault, battery, and criminal trespass, according to Us Weekly, citing court records filed in Chatham County.
The model’s arraignment is scheduled for April 23. If convicted on battery, Aronow — married to producer Andrew Aronow — faces up to one year behind bars. The charges stem from an incident in February 2024 at Club Elan in Savannah, which began when staff said Aronow drunkenly forced her way into an employees-only restroom — a claim that appeared to be supported by surveillance footage.
When bartender Haleigh Cauley asked her to leave the bathroom, she said Aronow told her she needed time to throw up and change her tampon, according to a police report obtained by TMZ.
Cauley said she allowed Aronow a few minutes then returned and asked her to leave once more.
“She proceeded to stay in the bathroom,” Cauley recalled to Us Weekly at the time. “I told her again she had to leave and she said, ‘I’m changing my tampon, do you want to see it?’ And flings it up and it smacks my face.”
When Aronow was asked to leave the establishment, she refused to do so and was seen “fighting and resisting the entire way outside,” the police report read. During the skirmish, Aronow allegedly kicked a bouncer in the groin and yanked hair out of a security guard’s head.
Cops were called to the scene, at which point Aronow claimed she was acting in self-defense, though she was subsequently arrested on the aforementioned charges.
Lawyer Drew Findling later told TMZ that Aronow was “embarrassed and saddened by the events of that night and is proactively taking the necessary steps to ensure that it never happens again.”
Until this week, little movement was made in the case as Aronow appeared to have taken part in a pre-trial diversion program, according to Us Weekly. It’s unclear if a violation of the conditions of that program led to the formal charges.
