In 2020, A group of adolescents headed off to the Capital Crescent Trail in Bethesda, Maryland. They were there to hang signs along the trail to commemorate the life of George Floyd and condemn police brutality.
They were minding their own business and hanging their flyers just as a bicyclist passed by.
As soon as the bicyclist saw what the kids were doing, he stopped his ride, got off his bike, and headed straight toward one of the children with a menacing approach.
The teen filming the disturbing encounter shouted at the man to leave the young blonde girl alone. "Do not touch her! She has nothing! Get off of her!”

But the bicyclist angrily ripped the flyers from the girl's hands — then shoved his bike into the teen behind the camera, causing him to fall into the bushes and injure his leg.
The teen who filmed the incident took to Reddit to explain more about what happened: "He cycled past us as we were putting up signs, stopped, asked to see my signs (in a friendly tone, I thought he was just interested) then as soon as I showed him them he ripped them out of my hands and started to go after my friends, which is when I started recording. I don't think he's grabbing the water bottle, he took the tape off of the wrist of my friend."
