Auditioning is part of an actor’s journey. It is not always easy balancing the preparation, day jobs, and making oneself vulnerable during the event itself. Actress Brooke Shields may have relaxed a little too much during her first big film audition. She let a toot out, which was mortifying, but then went on to book the role.
Brooke opened up about this on Watch What Happens Live. The episode originally aired on April 3, 2024. Brooke, host Andy Cohen, and fellow guest Elizabeth Hurley played a game of "Read Between the Lies."
"This person's absolute worst-ever audition involved her passing gas while she was dramatically pretending to be strangled," the announcer read as part of the game. Brooke confessed it was her. She owned her flatulence.
She has a good sense of humor about it now but at the time is was embarrassing. "I got the job, by the way!" she stated. "My first movie I ever was in! It was called Holy Terror. Yeah, [the title] wasn't just about the fart."
