Christina Applegate’s Look-Alike Daughter Sadie Made Rare Appearance At The Emmy Awards

In August 2021, Christina Applegate revealed she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a few months earlier. Her whole life changed but she was able to finish filming the final season of the hit Netflix series Dead to Me after taking a brief break. She attended the 2023 Primetime Emmy Awards to celebrate this achievement, bringing her 12-year-old daughter Sadie as her plus-one.

Sadie looks like a carbon copy of her mother. Christina shares Sadie with husband Martyn LeNoble. Christina loves being a mother. Sadie's birth helped Christina heal from breast cancer and accept her body after her double mastectomy. Sadie is now helping her mom through her MS diagnosis.

Christina’s appearance at the Emmys was a surprise to everyone. She had previously stated that the 2023 SAG Awards would be her last. The audience at the Emmys rewarded her efforts with a standing ovation, making Christina cry with appreciation.

“Thank you so much,” Christina gushed, visibly moved. “Oh my God, you’re totally shaming me with disability by standing up. It’s fine — body not by Ozempic,” she joked. She then went on to present the award for best supporting actress in a comedy series. The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri took home the prize.

Christina rocked a burgundy velvet blazer and skirt designed by Christian Siriano. She used a cane for stability. Sadie coordinated her outfit with her mom’s. She wore a black blazer and white button-up blouse. Both straightened their hair and wore it down. They were understated but elegant.

Thank you for standing beside me through all of this."
