There have been many shocking dating stories out there, but this one takes the cake. Do you ever think about how much is too much to spend on a first date? Or how much is too much food to order on a first date?
One woman's story has gone viral after posting a TikTok about going on a date to an oyster bar with a guy. She apparently ordered 48 oysters, some crab cakes, potatoes, and multiple drinks, all of which, with his food, amounted up to $185. And before the bill came, her date excused himself from the table and never returned.
In the video she posted, user EquanaB, with the hashtag #hebrokeyallendofstory, along with #fontainesoysterhouse and #oysters. The video showed that the date took place at Fontaine's Oyster House in Atlanta, Georgia.
She started the video off providing some backstory. So apparently, she met the guy when she was out one night with her friends. She said that he'd been "texting her for weeks, talking to himself," and that she didn't know why she didn't just block his number.

She goes on to say that one day he texted her asking if they could meet up for drinks. She agreed to because she was bored. They ended up going to the oyster bar, which she described as having "the best oysters in Atlanta."
She proceeds to order her food, all while filming the entire evening. Yet, none of the video clips captures her date in them.
The next part of the video shows her receiving four dozen oysters total and she can be heard eating them and talking about how good they are. She then says when the fourth plate of oysters came out, her date was looking at her "crazy."
"It was just so good, I had to," she said. She then went on to eat potatoes and crab cakes. In the next portion, she shows the bill and says the guy excused himself from the table and never came back, leaving his one drink and to pay the bill on her own.
She showed text messages between the two where she said "Running out on a tab is crazyyy," to which he replied, "I offered to take you out for drinks and you ordered all that food. I can cashapp the total for drinks."
The video caused an uproar on the internet, with many people divided over if she was in the wrong or if the date was.
"48 oysters to yourself is insane ," one person commented.
"He literally said can we meet for drinks then you proceeded to slurp down half the ocean ," another person commented.
"I’m not mad at either one of y’all like I see both sides," another user commented. "I love oysters but also could not imagine someone smacking on them for 10+ mins ."
