New Jersey Waitress Assaulted After Trying To Stop A Group Of Dine-And-Dashers

Police in Washington Township, New Jersey, are looking for a group who assaulted a waitress when she attempted to stop their dine-and-dash.

Five patrons who had dined together at Nifty Fifty's in Turnersville were slowly making their way out of the restaurant when a waitress caught on to the fact they were trying to skip out on the bill. She followed the group out to the parking lot, never expecting what would happen next.

In the midst of confronting the group near their SUV, it seems they realized someone else from the restaurant might come out. Surveillance footage shows the waitress being pulled into the SUV as they drive away.

The SUV pulled away with the driver's side door still open. One person in the group didn't make it into the car, so the group turned it around to double-back for her. Shortly after that, they pushed the waitress from the car. She ran back to the diner to call police.

The waitress was later treated for a number of injuries, including a possible concussion. Police are continuing to look for the group of five suspects.
