Anastasia Olson, the Disney on Ice skater who portrays Belle, fell during a performance on Saturday, February 10, 2024, and is currently hospitalized. Her injuries have been described as serious, and she was initially in critical condition after being rushed to the hospital.
As of February 12, she remained hospitalized, but she was no longer listed as being in critical condition, and was instead in "serious condition," according to KARE11. Olson is a 31-year-old Michigan native. According to Local 4, Olson fell during a shaky lift about 40 minutes into the show.
The outlet reported that before she was taken to a hospital in Minneapolis, she received medical care on the ice with a tent and dimmed lights giving her privacy.
A parent who took her children to see the performance also confirmed the details with KARE11. The parent, Beka, confirmed that Olson "appeared shaky" and "fell." She acknowledged that the injury must've been difficult for staff and other performers to deal with as well.

"I am beyond grateful and thankful for the remaining staff and the performers who kept going because that preserves the magic for the kids. I know that has to have been very difficult," Beka told the outlet.
Another person who was at the show, Christina, told KARE11 that she just hopes Olson is OK. "We just hope that she's OK and that she recovers," Christina told the outlet.
Disney on Ice's parent company, Feld Entertainment, released a statement saying that Olson fell and was injured at the 11 a.m. show and was then taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, reported Deadline.
The company also shared a statement with E! News that said: "She was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Disney On Ice appreciates the well wishes from our fans as our team member recovers."
The performance continued as normal after Olson's injury, and details about her injury and condition have not been released as of February 14.
Olson hasn't posted on Instagram since September 2023, but she has shared many positive memories and messages related to Disney on Ice. In one photo from 2020, she is pictured on ice with a young girl. "Even on a bad day, a little munchkin can always make me smile #disneyonice," she wrote at the time.
In another post from May 2023, she shared images from when she portrayed Belle on ice. "After such an emotional weekend, I thought to myself how lucky I am to have called D20 my home for 5 years," she wrote at the time. "The memories and relationships I made here are unforgettable and irreplaceable. I've laughed, I've cried, I've loved. And in the end, it was all so worth it."
