Don Lemon has fatherhood on the brain. This was true even before he married Tim Malone in April 2024. The couple first met in 2015 at the Almond Restaurant in Bridgehampton, New York. They didn’t start dating until the following year.
Don opened up to E! News about his and Tim’s future family plans. He didn’t reveal too many specifics, but this is gonna happen. The couple just needs to figure out the logistics of it all. They are still newlyweds after all.
Don revealed they are in the beginning stages of “family planning” and excited about the possibilities. “I can’t tell you when,” he stated. “We already have three fur babies, and I’ve only been married for three weeks. But yes, we are planning something, and we’ll let you know when.”
Don has a good sense of humor about it all which one can infer will only help him while raising kids. He joked Tim will “have to do it, though, because his body will bounce back.” Don and Tim were married on April 6, 2024.

This is not the first time Don has shared his desire to start a family with Tim. In 2021 on an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show he stated he was “thinking about starting a family.” He added: “We’ve got to get married first. We’re thinking about [whether] we want to adopt, [whether] we want to go through surrogacy, how we want to do it.” Now that marriage is checked off the to-do list, plans seem to be in motion.
