Donald Trump Makes Creepy Comment About Karoline Leavitt’s Lips

In what was definitely not the first time President Donald Trump made a weird comment about a woman, he seemingly objectified his press secretary. At an event in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, December 9, Trump planned to talk about the state of the economy, but veered off topic several times and somehow ended up talking about White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s lips. His “disgusting” and “creepy” comments went viral on social media, prompting reactions like, “somebody come get grandpa he’s getting creepy.”

Trump said Leavitt has “lips that don’t stop.”

The way he described Leavitt was disturbing for multiple reasons. For one, Leavitt works for Trump, and commenting on an employee’s “lips that don’t stop” would surely be an HR violation anywhere else. At 28 years old, Leavitt is also obviously much younger than Trump, who is 79. But beyond that, Trump’s description itself just grossed a lot of people out.

“We even brought our superstar today, Karoline,” he said at the event. “Isn’t she great? Is Karoline great? You know, when she goes on television, Fox, like, I mean, they dominate, they dominate when she gets up there with that beautiful face.”

Then, his comments managed to get even creepier. “And those lips that don’t stop. Pop-pop-pop like a little machine gun,” he continued. Um, excuse me? He then added, “She’s got no fear, and you know why she has no fear? Because we have the right policy.”

On social media, people called him a “predator.”

Of course, he had this reputation long before making the comments about Leavitt’s appearance. While people were not necessarily surprised that Trump said something gross, many were still disgusted by it. One person on X wrote, “Everything this man says about women is usually inappropriate. This old disgusting man turn things about women into sexual comments or verbal attacks on women.” Some people try to dismiss Trump’s comments like these, arguing that he’s just being funny. But critics didn’t find it funny at all, and even if he was “joking,” they didn’t see it as appropriate. “‘Lips that dont stop?’ Perverted talk for a sitting President to say. Maga will think it’s funny. Its NOT,” a critic commented.

Another person said, “I had to turn it off when he said that. She’s young enough to be his granddaughter. So grossed out.” Someone else noted that it was “just plain disgusting,” while many others simply wrote “ewwww.”

Lately, Trump has been targeting female reporters.

Sure, Trump clearly meant to “compliment” Leavitt. But many critics saw it as another example of his misogyny and disrespect toward women. Recently, on several occasions, Trump has attacked female reporters, calling them “stupid” or “ugly” because they ask questions he doesn’t like or write things that he doesn’t agree with.
