It doesn’t take much for those who don’t love Donald Trump to find a reason to make fun of them. But when he steps out with hair that is now being referred to as a “MAGA mullet,” he really gives them no choice. I don’t want to say he’s asking for it, but the jokes write themselves with that hair. He didn’t stand a chance when he was seen in the Oval Office with his hair looking a bit different than his usual comb-over.
And, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), a user referred to it as the MAGA mullet. It is a nickname for Trump’s hair that just might stick. What’s worse for some, though, is that it could also be a new trend for MAGA enthusiasts out there. Of course, they’d also have to adopt Trump’s coiffed hair that is combed into the mullet, so the jury is still out on whether or not it will be an actual trend.

The user who posted a video of Trump in the Oval office, inadvertently showing off a side view of his hair, wrote, “Trump now has a mullet. He’s really trying to please the hillbillies.” Other people joked in the comments under the post with photos of the title character in the movie Joe Dirt. For reference, he has a very pronounced mullet and he’s also very a much a hillbilly.
Some users also joked that Trump’s hair looks like it has extensions and that it’s yellower than it was before. To be fair, his hair does seem to take on a life of its own more often than not. And the MAGA mullet, as it were, isn’t guaranteed to stick around. That doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun with it while it’s here, though.
“I was wondering how that comb-over could have gotten worse,” someone commented on X.
“Any hair that he has left has to grow out twice as long so he can wrap around his oversized head,” another person joked.
Critics say he looks as stupid as he sounds.
Some users on social media also discussed how Trump’s medical records did have a hair-loss drug noted that he allegedly no longer takes. And, someone noted on Reddit, it’s important to remember that Trump might sound stupid and look stupid. To those who are decidedly on the left side of things, anyway.
“Every now and again, ignore how f–king stupid he sounds, and remind yourself how f–king stupid he looks,” a user wrote on Reddit.
Another person joked about the common phrase that describes a mullet being “business in the front and party in the back.” They wrote, “Tyranny up front, insurrection in the back.”

In the same Reddit thread, someone speculated that Trump is actually totally bald, unbeknownst to many.
“Trump is completely bald. Like a cue ball,” they wrote. “That toupee is a sewn-on combover. You can catch a glimpse of how bad it is when he is at a windy airport.”
There have been rumors and speculation about Trump wearing a toupee thanks to the way his hair is combed over in such a specific way. But will he ever admit to that? Not a chance, especially now that his MAGA mullet is a thing.
