President Donald Trump frequently uses social media to lash out at people who don’t support him and to share AI-generated images of himself. But, somehow, his activity on Truth Social on Sunday, July 26 was extra unhinged and concerning, even for him.
For one thing, he appeared to be active on the platform almost all day. The “updates” he shared throughout the day were also not really updates at all. They were memes referencing a third term and making fun of people he doesn’t like, among other things. Within six hours, he managed to post 43 times, according to a report from The Daily Beast.
He targeted many of the usual people he complains about.

At 11:16 a.m., the 80-year-old president shared an AI image of CNN journalist Kaitlan Collins as actress Dylan Mulvaney. On multiple occasions, Trump has lashed out at Collins and complained that she supposedly “never smiles.”
He also shared an AI-generated depiction of musician Bruce Springsteen, who is a vocal Trump critic. Later in the day, he posted an AI image of late-night comedians Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, and Stephen Colbert holding up signs that read, “Talentless not funny ex comedians need money.”
Perhaps unsurprisingly, he included a post referencing Rosie O’Donnell, who he’s been involved in an ongoing feud with for 20 years at his point.
Many of his posts alluded to a 2028 presidential run.
At a recent event, Trump said he was announcing his “candicy” but then claimed he was joking. His critics did not trust that he was joking. And then, days later, he shared a large number of “Trump 2028” posts on Truth Social, including an AI-generated image that showed a younger version of himself wearing a hot pink “Trump 2028 Save America” cap.
Some of the other posts were of fake, AI-generated movie posters that showed him as the star of several different movies. One of them seemed to double as both a movie poster for a horror film and also a “Trump 2028” election post with a rather interesting campaign slogan. It read: “GIVE THE ENEMY NIGHTMARES” and “TRUMP 2028.”
The posts did not end there, and people noticed that he even shared the same images more than once within a few hours, seemingly not remembering what he had already shared.

Liberal commentator Harry Sisson shared his thoughts in an X post and an Instagram Reel. He made a list of everything Trump posted on July 26 and wrote, “Trump is having a mental health episode on social media right now. He’s been posting nonstop all day.”
Reacting to his video on Instagram, one person commented, “Someone take away grandpa’s iPad.” Someone else said, “He’s our employee and this is what he’s spending time on.”
“Imagine if he spent this much time on fixing the economy he ruined or ending wars he started,” another commenter added.
On X, reactions to Trump’s unhinged posting spree were similar. “Trump is so busy posting AI-generated images on his own social media platform that he doesn’t even realize he’s posting some of them twice,” one critic observed.
“Watch out, everyone,” another critic warned. “Grandpa Trump is sundowning over on Truth Social right now and sending out his drafts as a dump again.”
