Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus seem to be dating now — or at least, a photo shared on social media makes it look that way. The apparent couple hard-launched their relationship on April 20, 2025. “Happy Easter,” Elizabeth captioned a photo that shows Billy Ray Cyrus kissing the side of her face.
Though they haven’t officially confirmed their relationship, the photo certainly makes their romance look official. It also came as a surprise to many of Elizabeth’s followers, including actress Melissa Gilbert. “Wait …. what?” Melissa commented on the Easter post, saying what many people seemed to be thinking.
While some people, including model Heidi Klum, appeared to celebrate the unexpected relationship, others were more critical.
“Who else totally did not have this one on their 2025 bingo card?” one fan wrote on Instagram.
Another person reacted to the news with, “Is anyone else wondering why she’s not seeing the 🚩🚩🚩?”
After the romantic photo went viral, a source told Page Six that Billy Ray and the English actress “have been friends for a long time and both found themselves single at the same time.” However, their relationship reportedly just turned romantic “a few weeks ago,” according to the insider.
The romantic Easter photo comes on the heels of Billy Ray’s messy divorce from Australian musician Firerose. Before they finalized their divorce in August 2024, Firerose accused Billy Ray of “extreme verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse.” Billy Ray denied the allegations, accused Firerose of abuse, and called her a “fraud.”
“As every day went by, I started realizing something was wrong,” he wrote via his Instagram Stories in July. He continued, “I just knew something wasn’t right. That was before I knew she was David Hodges’ ex wife. That’s before I knew her parents’ last name.”
He accused her of trying to use his name for “her own gain.”
“Everything I thought I knew about her was a lie,” he said at the time. “She was trying to take over my career, my life and usurp the Cyrus name for her own gain. See you in court.”
Things became so bad between the former couple that Firerose reportedly chose to “walk away without fighting for money in order to be done with the volatile relationship and anything having to do with Billy.”
Meanwhile, Elizabeth finalized her divorce from ex-husband Arun Nayar in 2011. She was previously engaged to Shane Warne, but they split up in 2013. In February 2020, she told Tatler that she was open to finding love again — but wasn’t necessarily interested in getting married.
“I’d definitely be open to the idea of being loved, loving someone, having someone fantastic in my life and sharing it,” she said at the time. “I don’t know if marriage comes into that to be honest, because I’m not going to have more children, and I don’t need anyone to pay my bills or give me a roof over my head. But I would like someone for companionship, fun.”
