Elon Musk Weighs In On Ashley St. Clair Drama & People Are Pretty Confused

According to a recent report published by The Wall Street Journal, Elon Musk wanted to keep his baby a secret. In February 2025, Ashley St. Clair shared that she had welcomed a baby in September 2024 and that Elon was the baby’s father. Per the WSJ report, Elon allegedly offered Ashley $15 million, along with an ongoing monthly payment of $100,000 in support, to keep quiet.

The WSJ published the scathing report on April 15. The piece was titled “The Tactics Elon Musk Uses to Manage His ‘Legion’ of Babies — and Their Mothers.” Elon, who has at least 14 children, didn’t seem to be a fan of the article. Just before midnight on April 15, he took to X, the social media platform that he owns, to criticize the WSJ with a simple statement.

“TMZ >> WSJ,” Elon wrote. While he seemed to be suggesting that the WSJ had published a tabloid-style takedown about him (or he’s just an avid TMZ reader?), some of his followers had no idea what he was talking about.

“Okay, I read this as celebrity tabloid news(TMZ) is much greater than the Wall Street Journal(WSJ),” one X user wrote. “Care to enlighten me Elon? Because I really do not understand this.”

A second person simply questioned, “Why?” A third person asked, “What does it mean?”

Previously, Ashley St. Clair criticized Elon Musk when speaking to the Daily Mail. She claimed that she was selling her Tesla “to make up for the 60 percent cut that Elon made to our son’s child support.” After the Daily Mail clip went viral, Elon responded to it on X, writing, “I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out. No court order is needed. Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year.”

However, WSJ reported that a LabCorp test has shown that Elon’s “probability of paternity” is 99.9999%. Additionally, when Elon claimed that he didn’t know if he was the baby’s father or not, Ashley replied on X.

“Elon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born. You refused,” she wrote at the time. “And you weren’t sending *me* money, you were sending support for your child that you thought was necessary …”

She went on to claim that Elon “withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for ‘disobedience.’” Along with trying to keep Ashley quiet, Elon also allegedly tried to control the way she gave birth, the recent WSJ report claims.

Ashley told the publication that Elon wanted her to have a C-section because he thinks the procedure “allows for a larger brain.” The conservative influencer previously shared texts that Elon allegedly sent her. In one, he reportedly wrote, “I want to knock you up again.” Then, in another, he told Ashley that they “have a legion of kids to make.”

She shared another text he allegedly sent her with the WSJ. It read: “To reach legion-level before the apocalypse we will need to use surrogates.”
