Nothing rings in the last year of your 30’s like a cake that’s based solely on your profession and has nothing to do with who you are as a person. But I guess, when you’re Karoline Leavitt, your job defines you and vice versa.
She is leaving her role as press secretary for another MAGA-centric role, after all. So when her birthday cake was posted on X, it wasn’t a total surprise to see that it focuses on her White House role rather than her personal life.
Still, people couldn’t help but have visceral reactions to it. Donald Trump supporters cheered for the creative cake, which looks like something straight out of the White House briefing room. Others, who were ready to see Leavitt out of her position months before she announced her exit, commented on the X post to make fun of the cake and the sentiment behind it. Because what else can you do if you’re anti-MAGA and anti-Karoline Leavitt?
Karoline Leavitt has Katie Miller to thank for her birthday cake, apparently.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham posted and then deleted photos on X from a birthday party for Leavitt that she wrote was thrown by Katie and Stephen Miller. She posted another photo that remained up, however, and showed birthday cakes for both Stephen and Leavitt. Stephen’s cake features green aliens and a UFO on top of it. Leavitt’s is the podium from the White House press briefing room. Yep, the podium she stands behind for work. That was her cake.
“Both probably taste like s–t,” a user commented on Ingraham’s X post.
Someone else wrote, “Yeah spend a fortune of taxpayers’ money on cake for billionaires…congratulations.”
The cake in general had another X user commenting, “Kind of inappropriate. We’re the ones they say ‘let them eat cake’ [to.] They even took that away. Fs.”
Leavitt shared cookies from the party in her Instagram Stories, though the Story has now expired. The cookies had the words “no more questions” written on them. Which, again, points to Leavitt’s job rather than who she is as a person. But apparently, all of the Trump Administration beasties are hyper focused on their White House roles above all else.
She was surprised with an early birthday celebration at the White House in 2025.

Leavitt is one of those people who doesn’t just get a birthday. She gets a birth month. Because, in a video posted on TikTok, she is surprised by a room full of other White House staffers singing to her with a surprise celebration at work when she turned 28 in 2025. In the video, she walks in, and as they begin singing to her, Leavitt does a little dance of celebration. It’s all very cringe, to be honest, and it kind of makes you wonder if she even has friends outside off the administration, but that’s a working theory for another day.
In the comments, some users complained about “tax dollars” being used for the small party. Others commented on Leavitt’s dance moves mirroring the little shoulder and arm shimmy that Trump has become known for.
“Do they all take dance lessons from Trump?” A TikTok user wondered in the comments.
“Omgoodness. she does the Trump hand dance… and where is Trump…I mean, he’s her biggest fan and all,” another wrote.
Karoline Leavitt is still working closely with MAGA following her White House exit.

Although Leavitt’s 29th birthday party also seemed to serve as a farewell to the press secretary, she isn’t going far. Like, at all. She announced plans to work for MAGA Inc., which keeps her close to all of her Trump besties. On a Reddit thread about the change in career, users speculated that her reason for leaving her White House role (to spend more time with her family) might not be the entire truth.
Others speculated that this is a way to keep Leavitt close to the Trump Administration in case she “knows something” secretive about the inner workings of Trump and those close to him.
