Khloé Kardashian’s New Reality Show Isn’t Even Out Yet But People Already Think It Flopped

Can a show fail before it even premieres? Khloé Kardashian’s followers seem to think so. Khloé is obviously no stranger to reality TV. She rose to fame on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and has appeared on multiple other reality shows. By all accounts, she’s experienced in this.

And yet, people think her forthcoming project, The Girls: A Khloé Kardashian Project, is going to flop. Whether or not that’s actually true, they have their reasons for suspecting this.

The show’s concept is fairly straightforward.

It’s basically what it sounds like: a show about Khloé and the women she’s friends with. The Hulu reality series follows Khloé and her friends as they “navigate the highs and lows of motherhood, marriage, dating, business and life in the spotlight.”

And if that sounds like it’s lacking drama, the description also teases that viewers can expect to witness “unexpected tensions, old wounds, and clashing perspectives.”

So far, it doesn’t seem like the show has garnered a large following.

At least not on TikTok, anyway. As of August 18, the TikTok account dedicated to the new series only has 436 followers. And the show is set to premiere in just a few days, on August 21. To be fair, The Girls does have a larger following on Instagram, but that doesn’t mean the reception has been overly positive there, either.

While the follower count currently sits at 30.2K, a promo post for the show has received lots of comments that are essentially like, “Who asked for this?”

On August 4, the account posted a promotional poster and captioned it with, “let’s hear it for #TheGirls! 🥂 a new series from @khloekardashian, premieres august 21 on @hulu.”

People in the comments sounded less than enthused. “We didn’t need this 😂” one commenter wrote. “Say it’s not true,” someone else commented. “A one season bust.”

And a third critic questioned who would actually want to watch the show. “Are y’all this obsessed with that family that this is even remotely necessary???!!” they questioned. “Especially this sister?!” Ouch.

People think it looks boring.

And they accused Hulu of running out of ideas. In response to a trailer the Instagram account shared, one critic wrote, “I give it one season max 🤭 but prove me wrong.”

“Hulu is running out of ideas for reality,” another person added.

At the same time, some people actually seem excited about it, so perhaps the show will do just fine. “This is going to be one of the best show ever!” one optimistic fan commented on another promotional post.

“I can’t wait to see the new show,” someone else said. “I love the idea.”

Khloé has also been mocked over other initiatives in recent years. In January 2025, she launched her Khloé in Wonder Land podcast, which people also seemed pretty skeptical of. A few months later, in April 2025, she launched her snack brand, Khloud.

While all of her business initiatives have received mixed reviews, some fans are simply excited for her. As one fan pointed out, Khloé now seems to be “in her momager era.”
