Kim Cattrall will be making a return to the Sex and the City cast, but for just one night only. She will be making an appearance in the season two finale of And Just Like That, a revival of the original show. Fans have mixed feelings.
According to sources, Kim shot her dialogue scene in March in New York City. She apparently didn't even get a chance to see or speak to the stars of the series.
In 2016, Kim made a public announcement sharing that she was done playing her character Samantha Jones. She didn't feel like the script for a proposed third film did her character justice. In 2022, she told Variety, "I would have preferred for all of us to have some kind of event to warrant a third film. That didn’t happen.”

Fans seem to have mixed emotions about Kim's one-scene return.
"I was excited until I read it’s only one scene! Wtf ," one person commented under People's Instagram post.
Another person exclaimed, "One scene?!! Give us what we want or call it quits." Though the second season is set to premiere in June, Kim's scene won't air until August.
