Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon have been married for 35 years. This longevity is impressive, especially for a Hollywood power couple. On May 1, 2024, Kyra appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and made a spicy confession.
A fan called in and asked a personal question. They wanted to know if Kyra and Kevin had ever made love in a trailer on set. Kyra did not deny that this happens.
The exact question asked if Kyra and Kevin "have ever fooled around in one of your trailers." They have worked together several times, so curious minds wanted to know. Kyra didn’t shy away from the question.
"Yes! Absolutely, oh yeah,” she replied. “If the trailer's rockin', don't come a-knockin’.” She has a healthy sense of humor about it all.

Kyra and Kevin first met in 1978 when she was just 12 years old. Kevin doesn’t remember this. Kyra and her brother got up the courage to speak to him while he was on his lunch break while performing the off-Broadway play Getting Out.
Their second meeting left more of an impression on Kevin. They both worked on the film Lemon Sky in 1987. Kevin organized group dinners for the cast and crew so he could spend time with Kyra, but she always declined the invitation. He later asked her out to dinner and sparks flew almost instantly.
The immediate and intense connection scared Kyra in a good way. "When I did fall in love with Kevin, it really just felt like there was some urgency to get married, and I don't know what it was. Suddenly this thing came over me and I was terrified," she explained to Vulture in 2019. "He was just the one, you know? He was just the soul mate, he was just the one." Things have worked out pretty well for the couple.
Kyra and Kevin got engaged the same year they met. They were married in 1988. Two years later, their son Travis was born. His sister Sosie Ruth followed in 1992.
It’s not always a piece of cake balancing relationships, family, and a career but it is worth it. "Our work lives — it's not like it's been easy,” Kyra stated on Today in 2024. “Longevity is hard, you have to keep on working on trying to get a job, trying to get a job. There's no fantasy of like, 'Life is so easy, Hollywood is so easy and movies are so easy.' It's all just a lot of work."
Kyra doesn’t think she and Kevin have it all figured out. "I joke that the secret to a successful marriage is to not take marriage advice from celebrities,” she told People in 2024. “I guess if I had to think too much about [our marriage], that would probably not be a good thing. We just got lucky. I honestly believe that's truth."
