Lisa Marie Presley Hid Weight-Loss Surgery That Led To Her Death From Those Closest To Her

Friends of Lisa Marie Presley are still reeling from her unexpected death, especially since the cause of death was revealed as a consequence of a weight-loss surgery she quietly underwent.

In July 2023, it was revealed that Lisa Marie died of a bowel obstruction, which was the result of adhesions that were directly caused by the procedure.

A friend told Page Six that Lisa Marie didn't need the procedure at all. They said: "When did you ever see Lisa look as if she needed bariatric surgery? She was not big at all. I don’t know what kind of doctor would perform this surgery on her."

Other friends admitted that Lisa Marie was living largely in seclusion in the months that led up to her death. Former Scientologist Jeffrey Augustine told Page Six that Lisa Marie was dieting ahead of the promotional run for the 2023 Elvis Presley biopic.
