What to Know
Megyn Kelly is super mad about an awards show that she didn’t watch. Though she didn’t tune into the 2026 Golden Globes, the conservative commentator appeared to have a lot of feelings about celebrities’ “nonsense.” One example of “nonsense” she highlighted was the fact that some celebrities chose to honor Renee Good, the mom killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent, by wearing “Be Good” pins. Additionally, Megyn complained that Wanda Sykes is “constantly mentioning, essentially, the fact she has darker melanin and a vag.”
Megyn was particularly mad at Mark Ruffalo.
The 58-year-old actor and director’s red carpet interview went viral because he admitted that he wasn’t really doing well and criticized President Donald Trump. Given what we know about Megyn, it’s not all that surprising that she thinks Mark is “the worst.” But the clip she presented as evidence of how horrible he is just showed him explaining his reasoning for wearing the pin.
“This is for her,” Mark stated. “This is for the people in the United States who are terrorized and scared today. I know I’m one of them. I love this country and what I’m seeing here, happening, is not America.”
Reacting to this clip, Megyn said, “God, he’s the worst. He’s just so bad.” She did not elaborate.
She then criticized Wanda and accused her of being racist.
A joke that Wanda made was apparently so offensive to Megyn that she thinks the comedian “should never be allowed to present again.” The joke in question? “Shoutout to the Golden Globes for having me because you know there’s some people p—ed off that a queer Black woman is up here doing the job of two mediocre white guys.”
Megyn acted like this joke was unbelievably offensive and accused Wanda of making things “all about herself.” According to Megyn, the joke was “so racist” and Wanda was “begging” the audience “to applaud for her.”
She then said, “You’re pathetic, Wanda Sykes. Do better.” Megyn’s advice to Wanda was to act like a “classy lady” instead of “somebody who’s constantly mentioning, essentially, the fact she has darker melanin and a vag.”
And people noticed that she seemed jealous of Amy Poehler.
Speaking about the Golden Globes’ Best Podcast category, Megyn seemed a tad bit bitter. She made the eligibility shortlist for this category, but claimed “we pulled our name from consideration.” And while Megyn acted like not winning the award was due to her own decision to drop out, she seemed to have a lot of feelings about the winner of the award: Amy Poehler.
Once again, Megyn bashed something that she has allegedly never watched. “Amy Poehler won,” Megyn said. “That’s no shock, they gave it to one of their own. Yeah, tracks. And it’s because she really has a really, really insightful podcast, which you really feel enriched after watching. I mean, I’ve never watched it, but this is what I hear, and when I watch the clips, I thought, ‘My God, what am I missing?'”
She then played a clip from when Gwyneth Paltrow appeared as a guest on Amy’s podcast. Megyn sarcastically called their conversation “riveting” and also slammed Amy for not preparing well enough. “Amy Poehler thought Gwyneth Paltrow was in Cold Mountain, which she wasn’t,” Megyn ranted. “They played it off like it was hilarious. But the truth is, she didn’t show Gwyneth Paltrow the respect of actually understanding what her body of work is.”
According to Megyn, this is actually “embarrassing and disrespectful,” but it’s also “what wins you, yay, the award for best podcast.”
