Meryl Streep, arguably one of the best actors of all time, is a private person who prefers to let her extensive and impressive body of work speak for itself. In October 2023, she announced that she has been separated from husband Don Gummer for more than six years. This came as a shock to many.
Meryl and Don were married in 1978 and share four adult children, many of whom have followed their mother’s footsteps into the acting world. On December 3, 2023, Meryl attended the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles where she was honored with the Icon Award. She brought her kids along for support and to walk the red carpet with her.
Meryl and Don’s four adult children are Henry, 43, Mamie, 40, Grace, 37, and Louisa, 32. The women are all actors in their own right. Mamie was the title character in the CW show Emily Owens, M.D., Grace made her Broadway debut in 2011 in Arcadia, and Louisa is best known for her work on the HBO series The Gilded Age. Henry pursued acting for a while, but his main focus now is music.
Meryl and her kids looked stunning in coordinated black outfits. Meryl’s ensemble even sparkled with embellishments on the hem and sleeves. The only one in tan was Henry’s wife Tamryn Storm Hawker. Grace's husband Mark Ronson also joined the group.
