Both Pamela Anderson’s new Netflix documentary Pamela, a Love Story and her new memoir, Love, Pamela, are finally out for the world to see. And while we can naturally expect to hear a lot about her relationship with Tommy Lee, her book also spills details of her time with ex-husband Kid Rock.
Pamela and Kid Rock — whose real name is Robert “Bob” Ritchie — started dating back in 2003 and married in 2006. They divorced months after.
According to Rolling Stone, the actress confirmed a long-standing rumor that the two of them split after watching a screening of Borat. Pamela hadn’t told Kid Rock that she was in the film, and in it she references her sex tape with Lee.
"Bob stormed out, calling me a whore and worse," she writes, saying, "he was embarrassed, and his reaction was not thought through."
"After I chased Bob to his car, he peeled out, leaving me there alone. I turned back and apologized, then asked if anyone could give me a ride home," she continues, before recalling what happened when she arrived at the house.
"When I walked in, Bob was smashing a photo on the wall. He said he was sick of waking up to a picture of me and David LaChapelle every day. But it wasn't me and David — it was Marilyn Monroe and Bert Stern."
Once the two of them split, it was over between them, with Pamela writing, "I didn't stay in touch with Bob."
But the two did cross paths again along with Lee at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards, where the two men got in a physical altercation. Pamela details in the book that they were all seated very close to each other and things got heated quickly.
"Fists were flying, and the whole thing ended up on live TV. I walked out," she adds. "It was a setup. MTV must have been thrilled. I told the press waiting outside that we were bamboozled."
