15-Year Old YouTube Star’s Mom Being Accused Of Putting Kids In ‘Abusive Environment’

There are a good number of kids out there who have successful YouTube channels. Some have even become so popular they now have their own TV shows. When you think about these kids having millions of followers and being worth millions as well, it’s hard not to think about how involved the parents are with these videos.

Inside Edition shared a video about Piper Rockelle, a multi-millionaire YouTube star with 10.5 million subscribers. Piper is only 15 years old! Her videos have built up over 2 billion views. All of her videos star Piper, of course, but then she always has a squad of "friends" with her.

Some former "Piper Squad" members are coming after Piper’s mom, Tiffany Smith, with claims of financial exploitation. In this lawsuit, they are accusing her of exposing them to a “physical, emotional, verbal, and sometimes sexually abusive environment.”

Sophie Fergie says, “All these happy kids when like behind the scenes that’s not how we all were. We’re stressed out crying and being in these videos because you’re yelling at us and it’s not fair.”

All the squad members say that their innocence was taken from them while they were involved in the making of these videos. They also claim that Tiffany would say sexual things to them.

The group is then asked by the interviewer if they were ever asked to pose provocatively or wear clothes that they were uncomfortable wearing. Claire, who is Piper’s cousin, replies, “Oh yeah. Tiffany would always tell me to go up into Piper’s closet and get something that’s more tight and revealing.”

Claire and her sister Reese, being cousins of Piper, appeared in some of the early videos before she became a YouTube Star. Reese claims that she feels like her childhood got ruined because of the events that took place during the making of these videos.

Singer Pink even had words for this kind of behavior. She asked, “How many kids like Piper Rockelle are being exploited by their parents?” Hopefully, Tiffany has learned that this kind of behavior with her daughter and her friends is beyond inappropriate.
