Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg's 24-year-old daughter, revealed that she recently had a stroke. On Thursday, January 18, she posted updates on her Instagram Story while at the hospital. "I had a severe stroke this am," she wrote over an image of the hospital bed. "I started breaking down crying when they told me." Later, she posted another image to her story, writing, "Like I'm only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this."
Cori is Snoop Dogg's youngest daughter. He shares Cori, Corde, 29, and Cordell, 26, with his wife, Shante Broadus. He has another son, Julian, 25, from another relationship.
Cori previously opened up about her struggles with her mental health. In 2021, she revealed that she was diagnosed with lupus when she was 6 years old. She said that she began struggling with depression when she was a child.
"I grew up with two light-skinned brothers, and I was the only chocolate one. I was overweight. I got lupus at 6, so I was overweight from being on steroids, and that automatically messed with my health," she shared at the time.
Though strokes are more common in older adults, they can occur at any age, and stroke rates for younger adults are increasing.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, "about one in seven strokes occur in adolescents and young adults ages 15 to 49."

In 2020, the American Heart Association reported that although stroke rates have decreased overall, they are actually increasing for younger adults. According to the CDC, 38% of those hospitalized for strokes in 2014 were younger than 65.
