Sophie Turner wants her kids returned to England, and Joe Jonas is allegedly keeping their passports and refusing to send them there, prompting Sophie to file a lawsuit against him.
The former couple reportedly met up on September 17 for "a cordial meeting," according to Joe's rep Jeff Raymond. The reason Joe won't send the kids to England is because doing so would violate a Florida court order that said neither parent could relocate the children, USA Today reported. However, Sophie filed a lawsuit on September 21 asking for "the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained," according to People.
Sophie alleges that she was supposed to have the kids starting Wednesday, September 20, but says that Joe "refuses to send the children home to England" and is holding onto their daughters' passports. When Joe filed for divorce, he asked for "shared parental responsibilities." While Joe was on tour, the kids were with him because he had more time to spend with them (Sophie was filming at the time).
According to People, Sophie claims that she and Joe agreed that England would be their "forever home" before they got divorced. The decision to divorce allegedly happened "very suddenly." Now, Sophie says that when she mentioned their previous plans to move to England again, Joe no longer seemed to be on the same page. "The Father has possession of the children’s passports. He refuses to return the passports to the Mother and refuses to send the children home to England with the Mother," the court documents say.

Although Joe's rep claims that Sophie knew that Joe was filing for divorce, the lawsuit alleges that Sophie found out about Joe's decision to file for divorce through media coverage. The former couple released a statement on Instagram on September 6, calling it a "united decision" that was made "amicably."
