It’s not every day that the audio from a political meeting goes viral, but when it does, it’s a big one. According to users on Reddit who discussed leaked audio from Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, the content is pretty monumental. In the audio, you can hear Blanche refer to the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case, in which the landmark Roe v. Wade was overturned.
The admission of plans to use the case as an example for nationwide plans is alarming for a number of reasons that people are concerned about. And, now that the idea is out there from the mouth of Blanche himself, it makes the possibility all the more real. And it’s a fear many had when Donald Trump was sworn into office for a second time.

In the audio posted on TikTok and then shared again on Reddit, you can hear Blanche speak openly about ideas regarding anti-abortion and pro-choice among Americans. He says that he hopes to undo some of the policies in place from when Joe Biden was in office.
“A big part of my job is the acting attorney general and Attorney General Bondi before me was restoring, bringing back regularity to the department of justice and the government when it comes to protecting religious liberty,” Blanche says in the audio clip. “And we’re not done. We have a lot of work to do with some of the policies around pro-life and some of the pro-abortion work that the Biden Administration and the Justice Department allowed to happen.”
He goes on to say, “Rest assured that we’re working, you know, hand in hand with HHS and the FDA and the White House and President Trump’s team to get permanent solutions so that the Dobbs [Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization] decision becomes permanent in every single state.”
The abti-abortion stance could actually mean an even larger decline in birthrates.

There is a narrative among some conservatives that not enough people are having children or starting families in the United States. According to Johns Hopkins University, 2024 was met with a year of all-time lows for children born. The issue for many is the inability to afford to actually have children. But the record low birthrates means that girls and women aged 15-44 are not having as many children as they once were.
If banning abortions is a way to remedy this, that might not be as easy as it sounds for some Republicans and far right-wing voters and politicians.
“I might consider having a baby if I knew I’d have access to a safe abortion in case of an emergency,” a user commented on the Reddit post. “I can’t risk going septic because a doctor is afraid to lose their license over a D&C for a missed miscarriage.”
Another user responded, “And yet at the same time the right keeps screaming about falling birth rates and have no idea why that’s happening.”
People want Nuremberg style trials after Donald Trump’s second term is over.
In other comments on the Reddit post, users shared their anger regarding what Blanche said. Much of that poured over from and into anger about Trump’s decisions as a whole. So much so that some shared hopes that those responsible for all of the changes during Trump’s second term are held accountable for their roles in various decisions.
“I’ve been saying since the beginning never forget the Nuremberg Trials,” a user commented on Reddit. “They hunted them down well into their senior years and held them responsible for the atrocities they committed.”
Another person added, “They should never know peace or respite.”
The infamous Nuremberg Trials were held over an extended period of time from 1945-1946. Members of the Nazi party were brought to justice. That seems to be what some of Trump’s harshest critics want for him and those close to him.
