For some unknown reason, society likes to couple people up. Perhaps it is easier to digest that way. Perhaps it is a kindergarten-learned coping mechanism to always have a buddy. Sometimes people even attempt to couple people who are not actually dating.
This seems to be the case in the rumors swirling around Tom Brady and Kim Kardashian. Multiple outlets are reporting the pair are not together. For now, we can take them at their word, but it would also be a great way to throw the public off the trail if the two were trying to get some privacy. Also, dating rumors have been known to actually become self-fulfilling prophecies, as was the case with Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.
Tom and Kim struck up a friendship because of Kim’s quest for a vacation property at Baker’s Bay Golf & Ocean Club in the Bahamas. Tom currently has a place at the exclusive member’s only residential club. The two were discussing not romantic date spots but real estate.
A source confirmed this to Entertainment Tonight. "Tom and Kim have been in touch because Kim is looking to buy property where Tom has a vacation home," the source said. Tom and Kim are “just friends.”

The anonymous source close to Tom was not the only person to dispel the rumors. Tom’s representatives also denied it, as did another unnamed source close to Kim.
"Kim and Tom have friends and business partners in common, but they are not dating," that source said.
ET speculates that this business partner connection could through Jens and Emma Grede. They have worked with both Kim on her Skims brand and Tom separately. They seem a likely candidate.
Page Six is also reporting on this story. Its source also confirms that the dating rumors are false.
“Kim and Tom are friendly. She phoned him and asked him for his advice on Baker’s Bay,” the source said.
Both ET and Page Six reported that Kim recently traveled to the Bahamas to check out the community in person. Tom was not present for her tour. The community is also a home away from home for other A-list celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Michael Jordan, Justin Timberlake, and Reese Witherspoon.
Tom is recently divorced from Gisele Bündchen, whom he was married to for 13 years. The couple share two children, Benjamin Rein Brady and Vivian Lake Brady. Kim was most recently in a relationship with comedian Pete Davidson. She shares four children with ex-husband Kanye West: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Kim is living her best single life, according to ET’s source. "Kim has been so laid-back about dating, and she is more and more comfortable being single. She is in no rush to meet someone and likes working, being with her kids, and doing her own thing. She has been laughing and making the most out of her experiences. She has amazing energy right now and everyone around her loves it."
