When Gisele Bündchen shared a Father’s Day post that focused on her current husband and didn’t mention Tom Brady at all, some of the former football player’s fans were outraged on his behalf. While Tom didn’t actually say anything about being excluded from the post, a recent report suggests that the pace at which Gisele has moved on after their divorce has surprised him.
Gisele and Tom were married for 13 years. They finalized their divorce in 2022. That same year, Gisele and her now-husband Joaquim Valente sparked romance rumors. By 2024, Gisele and Joaquim announced that they were expecting their first child together.
Apparently, the pregnancy announcement really surprised Tom.
Gisele and Tom also welcomed two children together. Their kids, Benjamin and Vivian, are significantly older: 16 and 13, respectively. Gisele and Joaquim welcomed their baby in 2025.
According to a recent report from Radar, Tom was taken aback by his ex-wife’s pregnancy news, especially because some time had allegedly passed before he even found out.
“Tom was in absolute shock,” an insider alleged when Gisele was pregnant. “She’s been pregnant for months now, and he just found out!”
After Gisele and Jaoquim tied the knot, Tom didn’t say anything, but his Instagram post spoke volumes.
Tom hasn’t commented on his ex-wife’s new relationship publicly, but people have noticed signs that he maybe didn’t take the news of their marriage super well. His behavior on social media right after the news broke was definitely… interesting, to say the least.
Gisele and Jaoquim got married in December 2025. Shortly after the news broke, Tom shared a photo of himself wearing a “Forever Young” hoodie to his Instagram Stories and captioned it with, “Yuppppppp,” also adding the 100 emoji.
While that would be interesting enough on its own, the song he chose to accompany the post made it seem even more pointed (or like he was just really going through something, perhaps). He attached the song “1-800-273-8255” by Logic to his post. The song is about mental health and goes, “I’ve been on the low, I been taking my time / I feel like I’m out of my mind / It feel like my life ain’t mine (Who can relate?)”
Then, not long after that, he was called out for sharing an apparent thirst trap. Regardless of what Tom was thinking when he decided to post these, it definitely did not come across as a coincidence to people.
Gisele’s social media activity has also been scrutinized.
In particular, her Father’s Day post this year really rubbed people the wrong way. In the post, she celebrated her current husband and her own father. “Happy Father’s Day @joaquimvalente !” she wrote. “Thank you for leading by example, and for the values you embody, love, humility, integrity, discipline, kindness and consistency. You are an incredible role model. We are all so grateful for you, and we love you so much. And dad, thank you for your unconditional love, wisdom, and support through every stage of my life.”
Some fans thought she should’ve included Tom, given that he is the father of two of her children. Technically, she did add, “Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.”
But some commenters were outraged. “Don’t forget the father of your other kids. He helped raise them too,” one popular comment read. One commenter wrote, “Happy Father’s Day to your ex husband as well, how can you forget?” Clearly, if Tom truly is “shocked” by Gisele’s new life, he’s not the only one.
But in Gisele’s defense, not everyone feels the need to mention their exes in every Father’s Day post. “Guys it’s not weird to not wish your ex a happy Father’s Day,” someone else argued after the post sparked so much backlash.
