Kourtney Kardashian just celebrated her 47th birthday, and like many partners do, her husband, Travis Barker, took to social media to celebrate the special occasion. There’s nothing unusual about the thoughtful message Travis penned for his wife, nor is there anything particularly offensive or noteworthy about most of the photos he included in the post. But the last photo in the slideshow is getting a lot of attention. A lot of critics can’t understand why Travis would share it publicly.
In his post, Travis included several different photos of Kourtney, along with one that showed him sucking her toes.
In the comments, people acted disgusted.
“i definitely could’ve done without the last picture,” one person commented on Travis’s post. Someone else questioned, “Are the toe sucking pics necessary Travis?” Many people commented on how beautiful Kourtney is, but that doesn’t mean they had any interest in seeing the toe-sucking photo. “The last picture is nasty,” another person asserted.
“Happy birthday 🎉. But why the foot pic Trav?” a fourth commenter wrote.
Kourtney’s siblings did not seem bothered by it, though.
Kim and Khloé Kardashian were among the commenters on Travis’s post, and they did not appear to have any problems with it. In fact, Kim even wrote, “I love this post and all of these pics.” And, of course, this prompted someone to question, “Even the last one?” Although Kim has not replied to this comment, fans could only assume that yes, she meant all of the photos, including the toe-sucking one.
Meanwhile, Khloé simply wrote, “The cutest girl ever ❤️,” which is not necessarily an endorsement of the toe-sucking photo.
In the caption for the controversial post, Travis wrote, “Happy Birthday my beautiful wife. I love you forever and ever.
Thank you for being such an amazing woman, an incredible wife, and the best mom to our humans.
I feel so grateful to spend this life with you @kourtneykardash 🖤”
It’s not the first time that he’s shared photos that seem very… private.

In 2024, also on Kourtney’s birthday, Travis posted another photo that people wished he would’ve kept to himself. That year, he also shared a slideshow of multiple images that featured his wife. He wrote, “Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife, soulmate and best friend forever. I love you, I love our life together. Thank you for being the most amazing wife a person could ask for. Here’s to many more years of adventures together ❤️🔥”
What caught people off guard, once again, was the last photo in the slideshow. It showed Kourtney sitting on a toilet. While some people found it cute and thought Travis was simply trolling his wife, critics could not understand why he felt it was appropriate to share that particular image. “Why expose her like this, not a good look travie,” one critic commented at the time.
Someone else commented, “Dang Travis you don’t have any respect for your wife 🤔” Several critics accused Travis of sharing the controversial images for attention and “likes,” which made it feel even ickier to them. “Why the last pic? Like why?” someone questioned. “I can think of a million reasons why this picture should of never hit social media.”
Clearly, the backlash from that year’s birthday post hasn’t had much of an impact on his posting habits.
