Trump Repeatedly Tells Female CNN Reporter To ‘Be Quiet’ During Tense Oval Office Exchange

President Donald Trump has lashed out at a reporter again, and people are getting quite tired of him “throwing a tantrum” every time someone asks him a question he doesn’t want to answer.

Of course, as many people have pointed out, the reporters he lashes out at tend to be women. This time, it was CNN journalist Kristen Holmes who had tried asking Trump a question — and he immediately escalated and repeatedly told her to “be quiet.” When a clip of this interaction went viral on social media, his critics saw it as another reminder that he is a “misogynistic loser.” Meanwhile, the White House defended Trump and hurled even more insults at Holmes.

Holmes tried to ask Trump a question about North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

“Quiet, you’re very disrespectful,” Trump told the reporter. “You’re a loud, boisterous person. You’re fake news. Be quiet.” Instead of simply answering her question, Trump spoke over Holmes, saying, “Be quiet! Be quiet! Be quiet! You’re a fake reporter and you report fake news.”

This happened at a press event that was meant to honor Ryder Williams, a teenage lifeguard who rescued a 10-year-old (Trump said he wouldn’t have done the same if he had been in that position). He accused Holmes of being “disrespectful” in front of the lifeguard.

“Quiet — you’re very disrespectful in front of this young man, OK?” Trump said to her. He then turned to the lifeguard and asked, “Don’t you find her disrespectful?”

The White House also lashed out at Holmes.

At one point, Holmes asked Trump to comment on something Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff had said about him and his aide Natalie Harp. Keep in mind, Holmes wasn’t the one who actually said anything about Trump’s relationship with Harp; she was just asking him to respond to Ossoff’s comments.

“Jon Ossoff said that you would rather travel with your aide Natalie Harp and build a ballroom than do your job as president,” Holmes asked Trump. “What is your response?”

For some reason, this prompted the White House to lash out at her.

The White House’s Rapid Response 47 X account, which is dedicated to “holding the Fake News accountable,” shared a clip of this and described Holmes as “a disgraceful, humiliating embarrassment to her alleged profession.”

The account even mentioned her children.

The actual White House Rapid Response account actually told the reporter, who is a mom of two, that her kids will be ashamed of her one day. “Someday, your children will come across your disgusting and inhumane question,” the account’s follow-up post read. “They will be sickened and embarrassed to have a parent be so callous and vindictive. It’s quite troubling.”

In response, Trump critics told the account that what’s actually shameful and troubling is a president who “crumbles and reverts to childish name calling” when faced with tough questions.

After all, they argued that Holmes was merely doing her job, and the White House’s response seemed totally “vile” and unnecessary. And several people found the response quite hypocritical, given that the Trump administration is not exactly known for its professional or respectful communication (Case in point: these posts about Holmes).

So, a few critics edited the post for them. One of them wrote, “Someday, Trump’s grandchildren will come across his disgusting treatment of women & young girls. They will be sickened & embarrassed to have a parent be so callous & vindictive. It’s quite troubling.”
