Trump Shares AI-Generated Video Of Himself As A Doctor Treating ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’

President Donald Trump is no stranger to sharing offensive AI-generated content. He sparked backlash in May 2025 when he shared an AI-generated image that depicted him as the pope (he claimed he had “no idea where it came from” and “maybe it was AI” even though it was posted on his Truth Social account and re-shared by the official White House account). Several months later, he shared an AI-generated video that showed him dumping brown liquid on protesters.

And now, he has shared a video depicting him as a doctor treating celebrities who have “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” aka celebrities who don’t support him.

The video features AI-generated depictions of celebrities like Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg.

Trump has made it pretty clear that he’s sensitive to criticism. Some of the celebrities included in his recent video are ones he’s lashed out at before (and repeatedly, as he has with O’Donnell).

The video shows an AI-generated Trump dressed as a doctor and introducing himself as Dr. Trump. “Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with TDS?” the AI Trump says in the infomercial-like video. “The symptoms can be relentless. Fortunately, I’m Dr. Trump, and I have a treatment plan.”

The supposed “treatment” the AI Trump offers is, “Turn off fake news. Say your prayers. And if you ever feel anxious, just have a Diet Coke like me, and you’re gonna see a remarkable difference in your life.”

The AI depictions of vocal Trump critics talked about the “symptoms” they’ve experienced.

In the video, the celebrities who don’t support Trump are portrayed as totally miserable. The AI Trump also says, “I really wasn’t sure I could help some of these people. They were so far gone I wasn’t really sure.” The people in question? O’Donnell, Goldberg, Robert De Niro, Julia Roberts, John Leguizamo, and Edward Norton.

The AI depiction of De Niro says, “I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep. Constantly angry. I made everyone miserable around me.” And the AI-generated O’Donnell says, “I have been suffering for over a decade, and after listening to Dr. Trump, I can see some results.”

O’Donnell sees Trump’s video as further evidence that he’s not doing very well. On July 2, O’Donnell reacted to the post by sharing a screenshot of a video about it and captioning it with, “He’s quite ill – and getting worse daily. The 25th amendment exists for exactly this reason. Remove. Impeach. Convict.”

People had similar reactions across social media.

Even though Trump has made it pretty clear who he is, some critics on social media still couldn’t fully wrap their heads around the fact that the president of the United States would actually post something like this. They also questioned his priorities (and his well-being).

“If he put the same energy into governing as he does trying to troll his critics, this country might actually be in a better place,” one critic wrote on X. “Instead he’s obsessed with proving something to people who don’t care. Respect isn’t a title that comes with the office…it’s something you earn.”

Several others pointed out that he clearly can’t cope with the fact that some people don’t support him. “He really can’t accept people don’t like him,” another critic commented. “Even though he won the presidency all he wants is everyone to admire him (and) it eats him up inside that he won’t be love(d) by everyone!!”

“Can we just have a normal president again?” a third critic wrote. “A president who focuses on the livelihoods of everyday Americans.”
