Trump Threatens To Sue Trevor Noah After Grammys Digs

President Trump threatened legal action against Grammys host Trevor Noah on Monday after the comedian’s cracks about Jeffrey Epstein, Greenland and Nicki Minaj, among other touchy topics. Trevor triggered Trump with digs pitting Epstein Island versus Greenland, and Nicki Minaj’s posterior versus the president’s.

Nicki Minaj is not here,” Noah joked during his opening monologue as the audience hooted and applauded. “She is still at the White House with Donald Trump, discussing very important issues.”

He elaborated with a Trump impression.

“Actually Nicki, I have the biggest ass,” Noah quipped in Trump-speak that veered into a riff on Cardi B’s viral 2020 song “WAP.” “I have it. Everybody’s saying it, Nicki. I know they say it’s you, but it’s me. WAP, WAP, WAP. Look at it, baby.’ ”

The rapper was in Washington last week to help promote the Trump Accounts baby-investment program, where she held hands with the president and declared herself his “No. 1 fan.”

Noah’s real zinger came after Billie Eilish won song of the year for “Wildflower.”

“Wow. That is a Grammy that every artist wants, almost as much as Trump wants Greenland,” Noah said. “Which makes sense. I mean, because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton.”

After the show, Trump lit up his social media feed declaring he had never been to the Caribbean island owned by the late, disgraced financier and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, “nor anywhere close,” and called the joke a “false and defamatory statement.”

Neither the president nor Clinton has been implicated in Epstein’s crimes. The federal government is releasing millions of documents related to Epstein’s case.

“Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast,” Trump’s post read. “It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$.”

After referencing lawsuits he’d filed against CBS and ABC that had ended in multimillion-dollar settlements, Trump concluded, “Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!”
