Trump Told Bill Clinton He Had ‘Great Times’ With Jeffrey Epstein, Ex-President Testified

Donald Trump told Bill Clinton he had “great times” with Jeffrey Epstein, the former president said during his closed-door testimony to a House committee. Clinton and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, were subpoenaed to testify about their associations with the disgraced late financier.

Videos of their testimonies last week, given behind closed doors before the House Oversight Committee, was released by the panel on Monday.

Bill Clinton, who testified that he had “no idea” about Epstein’s crimes, said the topic of Epstein came up between him and Trump when they attended a charity event at the then-real estate mogul’s golf course more than a decade ago.

“I played in it a couple times,” Clinton said of the event for former Yankees manager Joe Torre’s Safe at Home Foundation. “And the day I was there he would typically, Donald Trump would come out and play a few holes with us. And he somehow knew I had flown in Jeffrey Epstein’s aircraft.”

“And he said, ‘You know, we had some great times together over the years, but we fell out, all because of a real estate deal,’” Bill Clinton told the House Oversight Committee during the closed-door session in Chappaqua, N.Y. “And he said that, “I’m sorry it happened.’ That’s all.”

Asked if he knew who first brought up Epstein, the former president said, “no, but I’d be shocked if I did. I just don’t do that.”

Bill Clinton’s testimony also contradicted Trump’s claim that his falling out with Epstein was because the financier was a “creep” who poached young women from Trump’s spa at Mar-a-Lago. “He took people from me that worked for me, and I told him, ‘don’t do it anymore.’ And he did it. And I said, ‘stay the hell out of here,’” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One in late July.
