Tucker Carlson Just Delivered One Of His Harshest Criticisms Of Donald Trump Yet

No president made a mistake as colossal as Donald Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran, according to a former MAGA influencer.

Tucker Carlson split from Trump’s movement in part over the Iran conflict, which he described as “a war that every person who was paying attention knew could not be won, and would only damage the United States.”

During an appearance on ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith’s podcast “Straight Shooter,” Carlson said he warned Trump against launching the Iran war.

“And I told him that repeatedly before he did it. And it wasn’t, from my perspective, just a mistake. It was like the end of an entire moment in world history where the United States … has enough power to influence events. That’s all done, I think, because of this, and I think it’s gonna dramatically affect the standard of living in the United States and in Western Europe, which I care about,” Carlson told Smith.

The former Fox News anchor, 57, said no president has made a worse blunder since he’s been alive.

“I think it’s the most disastrous decision any American president has made in my lifetime, and nothing comes close,” said Carlson, who also announced in June that he was leaving the Republican Party.

In April, Carlson said he regretted helping elect Trump.

“I do think it’s like a moment to wrestle with our own consciences. We’ll be tormented by it for a long time. I will be, and I want to say I’m sorry for misleading people. And it was not intentional. That’s all I’ll say,” Carlson said on his podcast while interviewing his brother, Buckley Carlson.

“In very small ways, but in real ways, you and me and millions of people like us are the reason this is happening right now,” Tucker Carlson said, referring to the Iran war.

“I do think it’s like a moment to wrestle with our own consciences. We’ll be tormented by it for a long time. I will be, and I want to say I’m sorry for misleading people. And it was not intentional. That’s all I’ll say,” Carlson added.
