In an exclusive interview with People, Allison Holker Boss broke her silence months after the death of her husband, Stephen "tWitch" Boss. The dancer shared about how she's been managing life since, and how she's been coping with the loss.
"Our love was so real and so loud," Allison shared. "We always told people our house was like a choreographed dance." That's the way she described the moments with Stephen.
Stephen died by suicide on December 13, 2022. He was only 40 years old. He and Allison had celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary just days before.
The loss was felt across the late deejay's family, loved ones, and multitude of fans, who were all troubled by the news of his death.

"We don’t check on our strong friends—our funny friends—our friends that ‘seem’ to be doing just fine… but we need to," one fan commented under a post. "So many suffer in silence, without the support they need and rightfully deserve. so many walk in the dark and no one knows it. please check in on your people, even the smiley ones, hug them, tell them they are loved. tell them they are not alone here."
Allison shared about how they were unaware of what was going on with Stephen at the time. "No one had any inkling that he was low," she said. "He didn't want people to know. He just wanted to be everyone's Superman and protector."
The 35-year-old has remained a strong force for the three children whom she and tWitch shared together. "My loves we are stronger than you could ever imagine. And we will stand strong together as a unit, and find the courage to hold each other up," she said in an Instagram post, sitting on the couch with her kids. "I will be here for you every step of the way through the highs and lows, the ups and the downs. I will protect and I will guide, I will be a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, I will have mom jokes ready for when you need a good laugh. The love and light inside our hearts will still shine. I love you forever and always. Mommy."
Allison went on to share that the hardest thing has been not understanding what was happening in the moment that her husband died. "I could allow myself to go to a really dark place right now, and that would be valid and fine," she said. "But I want to choose a different way for myself and the kids."
Every day since tWitch's death looks different, but Allison is focused on moving with purpose and honoring the love and light her husband spread. "Stephen brought so much joy to this world," she said, "and he deserves to be remembered as the beautiful man he was."
