At one point during the health crisis, many of us were feeling a bit of Zoom fatigue. One Washington, DC, woman identified only as "Jackie" decided to do something about it.
On April 2, 2020, she wore a Hawaiian print shirt to a Zoom meeting. She then decided to wear it the next day. "I was like, wouldn’t it be funny if I wore this shirt again? Like that’d be a funny joke and everyone would say something."
But then … no one said anything at all.
Jackie continued, "And then I thought, well, I’m going to keep doing this until someone notices, and no one ever noticed."
It turns out that wearing the same shirt every day wasn't always emotionally easy.
She continued, "I had some real ups and downs. Like the first month, I was like, this is really funny. Then it’d be like, oh, I’m still wearing this. And then it’d be funny again."
In the end, Jackie retired her shirt on June 16, 2021.
