I Thought They Made A Mistake… When I Heard What He Does In His Free Time, I Was SHOCKED!

They say age is just a number, and you’ll certainly believe it after you meet this incredible young man.

At just 19 years old, Brandon Paulin broke records this week after being elected the youngest mayor in Maryland’s history. He’ll now be presiding over town affairs for Indian Head’s population of 4,000 people. “I decided to step up because I think I can implement some solutions to Indian Head’s problems,” says the teen while he flashes a mouth full of braces.

“I always want to be open and available,” Paulin tells the Washington Post. “If you want to go and ask for the mayor, he’s there. “I always want to be working for the people.”

Surely, you may be thinking, no teen is fit for a position of political leadership. But according to the townspeople of Indian Head, you’d stand corrected. His numbers alone speak for themselves. He was given nearly twice as many votes as the city’s former longtime mayor, and residents seem to be welcoming of Paulin’s vision for change.

And he tells the Post he’s determined to keep his grades, up as well. He’s currently enrolled in college courses online, so he’ll most certainly have his hands busy. He may be young but he’ll no doubt accomplish more than Stubbs the Cat, who’s been mayor in Talkeetna, AK for more than 17 years.
