Meet Dai Dali, an award-winning, 70-year-old Chinese pole dancer.
This fit grandmother is from Chengdu, located in southwest China and has taken the Chinese internet by storm with her incredible flexibility.
After years of practice, Dali believes that the art of pole dancing is not limited to just young people and that there is no problem with age. She didn’t let the fear of seeing mostly younger pole dancers occupy the classroom stop her from bettering her performance.
In this clip, Dai Dali auditions for Asia's Got Talent and stuns the judges with her impressive dance moves. Dali has participated in several talent shows and has won two gold medals at the Ninth China Pole Dance Championship as well as reaching the semifinals in the Asia's Got Talent competition.
Her genuine enthusiasm for pole dancing is comparable to 96-year-old Tao Porchon-Lynch’s love and passion for yoga. Both of these ladies are extremely inspiring and enable me to have high hope for what I’ll be able to do at their age.
This flexible grandmother’s impeccable pole-dancing skills have made her quite a sensation, and for good reason.
Dai Dali has said that she plans to continue dancing until her 80s and wishes to be the oldest pole dancer in the world. With the dedication that this incredible woman has, I wouldn’t doubt her one bit.
