Adam Levine is in a pretty ridiculous situation at the moment — at least according to what one woman is saying.
Just days after Adam's model wife, Behati Prinsloo, announced she's expecting their third baby, Instagram model Sumner Stroh dropped an absolute bombshell allegation about the singer on TikTok. Not only did she allege that she had an affair with Adam, she also claimed that he wants to name his new baby after her. Um … what!???
While the allegation alone doesn't look good for Adam, his alleged mistress presented some pretty damning photo proof, as well.
The Instagram model said in her TikTok video that the singer “manipulated” her into having an affair. But it gets worse. She says back in June, after he hadn't spoken to her for months, he sent her a DM that could not have been any creepier.
In the message, she says the star asked if it would be OK for him and his wife to name their baby Sumner. She even presented the DM to the world. It reads: “Ok serious question. I’m having another baby and if it’s w boy I really wanna name it Sumner. You ok with that? DEAD serious.” He also added a shrugging emoji.
In the TikTok video, Sumner opens up about the affair and how it happened. "I was young, I was naive. And I mean, quite frankly, I feel exploited," she said. "I wasn’t in the scene like I am now. So I was definitely very easily manipulated."
She continued, hinting at some major feelings of angst toward Adam. “Maroon 5 is practically elevator music at this point,” she said. “So, I’m sure you know who Adam Levine is. Adam and I were seeing each other for about a year, after I stopped talking to him over a period of months, this is how he came back into my life.”
Surely, a lot of people will think that the model is seeking fame or publicity with her claims, but she says that's not the case. Sumner says that she shared the DMs from the singer with a couple of close friends, who then attempted to sell them. She says she simply wanted to be able to speak for herself, so she decided to share her story on her own terms.
Adam Levine definitely presents himself to be the ultimate family man. He's been married to his wife since 2014, and they welcomed their first baby in 2016. Their second child was born in 2018. These allegations certainly put a new spin on Adam's loving husband and doting father image.
On Tuesday, Adam released a statement about the accusations via his Instagram stories. “I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner,” he wrote.
“I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life.”
