Adoptive Mom Needs Lifesaving Transplant, Then Woman She Met 10 Years Ago Steps Forward

It's incredible to think about the people that you've crossed paths with in your life.

There are so many strangers who become friends and when you sit and reflect on it you realize that it was a complete act of fate that you even met.

What's even more amazing is when these people have a huge impact on your life.

These people are not family members or people you attended school with, you were always going to meet those people.

These are the people that you run into on the street and strike up a conversation with, or that you sit next to on an airplane for a few hours, but you just never fall out of touch with.

When Marie decided to adopt a baby girl from China ten years ago, there was no way for her to know that she'd be making a connection that would eventually save her life.

Marie met Liz, a fellow adoptive mom, and they became great friends as they raised their daughters together in America.

So when Marie was in dire need of a life-saving kidney transplant and Liz volunteered to be her donor, their chance meeting ten years ago was given so much more meaning than it already had.

It was literally going to save her life. The world certainly does work in amazing ways!
