Ellie is the perfect example of what it means for a person to never give up. While we've all met inspirational people in our lives before, when it comes down to it, little Ellie is one of the most amazing little girls we've ever seen.
It seems that a genetic disorder forced doctors to amputate little Ellie's legs up to her knees, and she suffers from other growth problems that make her hands look different from the other children as well.
Over the years, Ellie has been in and out of seven different homes, and wherever she goes, it seems that she gets stared at by the other kids. Even if she tried her hardest, she always ended up being left behind.
As much as she dreamed to run like the other kids, she would have needed a special prosthetic that would have been just too expensive for her to ever have.
Thankfully, as strong as Ellie is, she shows us that even the best of us need some help from our friends and family. She finally found her "forever home," and through a special fundraising extravaganza, they managed to raise enough money for Ellie to get the legs she deserves, so she can finally experience what it feels like to be free and run!
Nowadays, Ellie and her amazing mom Miranda are leading the pack, inspiring everyone who gets to see her that there is nothing impossible as long as you have the drive, and the love of your family and friends.
