Just 10 days ago, Kyler Bradley was your typical 10-year-old boy. Just 10 days ago, the tumor was discovered when he went to the eye doctor.
Imagine how much your world can change in just 10 days. Less than two weeks ago, Kyler was walking with his friends, talking, and running at recess. But as the rare form of brain cancer known as Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma begins to grow, Kyler is slowly losing his motor functions.
In spite of the devastating news, Kyler and his mother have made the decision to live life to the absolute fullest. His mother calmly stated the facts of the matter, "Kyler knows he has a tumor, he knows he has brain cancer, he knows it is inoperable, and he knows his time is limited here on earth."
But where some would see a lack of hope, Kyler, his friends, his family, and his whole community have come together in hopes of a miracle. Kyler and his peers have been praying for that miracle. Though a whole lot has changed in just 10 days, the whole community wants to let Kyler know how much he is loved.
The story was so heartbreaking that the normally stoic news anchors couldn't even finish the segment. As they tried to explain Kyler's story, they had to stop for a moment to collect themselves and fight back the tears.
Please keep Kyler in your thoughts and prayers. And who knows, with enough people praying, God is sure to hear something.
And please SHARE his touching story of strength and character with your friends on Facebook!
In my nearly 20 years of TV news, I've never seen anchors react to a story like this. It got all of us. It's certainly worth a couple minutes of your time. Hug your kids extra tight before they head off to school this morning. UPDATE: You can help Kyler here: https://www.gofundme.com/KylerBradley
