Ant Anstead has filed for full custody of the 2-year-old son he shares with ex-wife Christina Hall. Anstead claims that Hall has spent "nine full days" a month with their son in the last two years. He is also taking issue with Hall sharing photos of the young boy on social media.
Anstead is also alleging that Hall is creating an unsafe environment for their son.
Anstead's complaint includes two instances that he is taking issue with. In one, Anstead says that Hall returned their son to him with a bad sunburn, suggesting that the boy be given Tylenol to deal with the pain.
The second complaint is that Hall allegedly returned the toddler to his father without disclosing that her family had all been diagnosed with COVID-19. When Anstead's girlfriend, Renée Zellweger, was subsequently diagnosed with the virus, production on one of her projects had to be paused.
It's unclear if these two instances offer Anstead enough ground to stand on. Hall spoke to TMZ about the filing, explaining that the issues could have been handled privately.
She said, "What Ant is doing deeply saddens me. If this was really about Hudson, as he says, this should have been handled privately with a private judge or mediation, as myself and my attorney have suggested. I have had my share of ups and downs but I am a good mom and I love my children with all my heart and I will always protect them."
Hall also posted a photo to Instagram about strong women, alongside the caption, "When a toxic person can no longer control you, they will try to control how others see you. The misinformation will feel unfair, but you stay above it, trusting that other people will eventually see the truth just like you did."
Hall recently married her boyfriend, Josh Hall, and the pair are planning to move into a "long term family home" with her children. She wrote on Instagram, "Near school and friends and work. Our new home is our long term family home. Coming from a restless soul my soul is ready to rest. At 38 I'm exactly where I want to be and can't wait to make the next house our home."
