Anthony Michael Hall and his wife, Lucia Hall, are officially parents! The couple recently welcomed their first child, an adorable baby boy named Michael Anthony Hall II.
The actor confirmed the news with People. He said their son was born in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 1, weighing 9 lbs., 7 oz.
"It's great," Anthony shared. "We're excited. That first month of parenting is pretty wild. Everything that everybody tells you is pretty true: you lose sleep and it's the craziest time, but it's the best time. So we're really enjoying it."

The couple shared their pregnancy news in February. "My wife Lucia and I are so blessed, happy and proud to announce on this Valentine's Day, that we are expecting our first child this summer.❤️," the post shared. "Thank You Heavenly Father! Sending our heartfelt thanks to our loving families & friends who are celebrating our great news with us today. Happy Valentine's Day to all! -Anthony Michael and Lucia Hall ❤️❤️❤️."
Anthony is 55 years old. Lucia is 32. The pair started dating in 2016. They wed in 2020.
On Mother's Day this year, Lucia showed off her baby bump in a stunning black-and-white photo. "Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful momma’s out there ❤️ Hope you are enjoying your special day ," she captioned the post, adding hashtags #mothersday #firsttimemom #maternityshoot #pregnancy #luciahall #babymichael #anthonymichaelhall.
Anthony commented on the post, "I love you sweetheart and I am so proud of you! Thank you – for being the best wife and mother(to be). I am blessed for your love & to be your husband. Pusinky, Momma! Daddy." The actor marveled at his wife throughout the entire time of her pregnancy.
"She was really amazing with it. She’s very healthy and has great genes, so it was all smooth and other than being a little sleep deprived now, really great," he shared. He also added that Lucia is breastfeeding. "We have a big boy. In between his breastfeeding, I get to give him his bottles, and I can tell you, this kid has some appetite."
As far as the baby's name, the actor was actually born as Michael Anthony Hall. "I knew I did want to name him Michael and my wife also loved that name, even before she met me. So we've shared that, and then we decided to go with the suffix so he's Michael Anthony Hall II because there are a lot of juniors in the world. There’s nothing wrong with that, but we figured we wanted to keep that full name."
