Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon just welcomed their first baby! The adorable couple, who appeared on Bachelor in Paradise together, welcomed their first child, a son, on Monday, January 31.
“Baby Dawson is here and healthy!” Jared joyously shared on Instagram.
“Ashley is recovering and doing well! It really couldn’t have gone much smoother. He’s so sweet and beautiful and has been sleeping all day. Unlike his Mom and Dad who are on no sleep right now but it’s totally worth it!”
Ashely also shared a series of adorable newborn snaps on her social media.
Jared and Ashley shared that they were expecting a 2022 baby back in July. It was such a happy announcement for the couple, who had a turbulent start to their relationship but ended up falling deeply in love and marrying in August 2019.
If you're a Bachelor in Paradise fan, you know how it all started. Ashley fell madly in love with Jared while they were on the show together. She pined for him while he went on other dates. It essentially led to Ashley sobbing in each and every episode. She was even dubbed "The Crying Girl."
Ashley continued to carry a torch for Jared after the season, but the two were just friends for years. It wasn't until Jared saw Ashley getting involved with another Bachelor franchise contestant that he realized he wanted more.
It ended up being a beautiful and romantic story. While just about everyone told Ashley it was never, ever going to happen with Jared and that she needed to let it go, somehow, she knew better. Jared probably did really love her all along; she was just coming on mega strong. He needed to know what it felt like to almost lose her to really see that it was more than a friendship.
It's clear Jared really loves his wife. When they announced her pregnancy, he wrote a beautiful tribute to her. "Even though it’s been a rough first trimester so far, she is as beautiful today as she was in this picture," he shared. "I love her very much, she’s a strong woman and I know Ashley is going to be an incredible mother.”
Ashley and Jared have to be one of the most unlikely couples to ever come out of the Bachelor franchise. They also seem like one of the happiest!
