Watch The Heartwarming Moment Orphan Meets Her New ‘Momma’

Audrey Shook always knew she wanted to adopt from China. After marrying her high school sweetheart, the couple got pregnant, so they put the idea on hold. Nine years later, they saw a video of Lucy, a special needs child from China, who was living in an orphanage.

The couple fell in love with the little girl and began to make plans to adopt her. Finally, on July 20, Audrey and her husband Brent were finally going to meet their new daughter and the heartwarming moment was all caught on camera.

On Monday evening, dozens of special needs children from China arrived to meet their foster families at Bush Airport. When Audrey spotted Lucy, she instantly broke down and ran to her.

"Hi! Hi! I'm Momma," Audrey said, as Lucy repeated the word "Momma" back to her. It was love at first sight!

The families are asked to host the special needs orphans for four weeks, but the Shooks have already started the process to officially adopt Lucy.

"These are the kids that are unwanted. They are the kids nobody else wants. They've been sitting on lists for their entire life or sitting in an orphanage," Shannon Phillips, with Great Wall China Adoptions, told KHOU.

Audrey and Brent could barely contain their excitement about adding Lucy to their growing family.

"We don't see it as we are going to help her, we see it as she's going to help us with our lives," said Brent.
