It was the final game of the season when a miracle happened at Greece Athena high school. Jason McElwain was the most enthusiastic basketball manager the school had ever seen. For years, Jason did whatever the coach and players needed, all for the joy of the game.
Jason has Autism and is in special ed, so he's used to being different. But then something wonderful happened! During the last game of the season, his coach decided to make him one of the guys! With only a few minutes left, coach Jim Johnson told Jason to suit up – he was going to play.
Carrying his enthusiasm with him onto the court, Jason did something that shocked the entire crowd. He made three-point shot after three-point shot, totaling over 20 points.
If you watch the video all the way to the end, you can see just how ecstatic the crowd was to see Jason succeed!
